At Aspirations Performing Arts, our ballet program is rooted in the Vaganova Method—an internationally respected approach that builds strong, safe technique from the inside out. Every dancer, regardless of experience or ability, is guided to develop confidence, control, and artistry. Par Terre Gymnastics is included in every class to support flexibility and strength, helping students move with ease and integrity. We offer two syllabi: The Ofqual regulated Associated Russian Ballet & Theatre Arts Exams (ARBTA) and the comprehensive syllabi from The Russian Ballet Society Vaganova Style.

ACROBATIC ARTS

At Aspirations Performing Arts, we follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus—an internationally respected program focused on safe, progressive training in flexibility, strength, balance, and tumbling. For us, acro is about mastering technique, not chasing tricks. We treat it as an expressive art form, where movement enhances choreography and supports long-term growth.

We understand that trends like aerials can be tempting—especially for pre-teens eager to achieve flashy skills. But we believe in teaching with care and intention. Poorly taught acro can lead to lasting issues in the back, neck, and hips. That’s why we encourage our students to value their bodies, build strength gradually, and focus on sustainable technique. You only get one body—and we’re here to help it thrive for life.

TAP DANCE

At Aspirations Performing Arts we believe that Tap Dance is an asset to any dancer’s curriculum. Taps quick movements strengthen the ankles while working the many muscle groups that support and strengthen the joint. The discipline, like many forms of dance, offers other benefits, too. It uses fine motor movement and requires a lot of control. We study various styles to include The Les Griffith Tap Dance Technique and BATD (The British Association of Teachers of Dancing) examination syllabi. More recently, we have started the new exciting and forward thinking tap curriculum from Acrobatic Arts
